In Madinah, revelation addressed the life of a growing community — family, economy, justice, worship and war. The Qur'an and the Prophet's practice together shaped a society while individuals were being formed person by person.
3Why it matters today
The early community's example — patience through hardship, care for neighbours including Jews and others, and slow institution-building — continues to inform Muslim reflections on community leadership and social ethics.
