Words of consolation in distress
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٱلْحَلِيمُ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
La ilaha illallahul-'Azimul-Halim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Azim, la ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati wa Rabbul-ardi wa Rabbul-'Arshil-Karim
There is no god but Allah, the Magnificent, the Forbearing; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the Mighty Throne; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.
What this supplication is
The words of the distressed — the testimony of Allah's greatness repeated upon His Throne. The narration records the Prophet (peace be upon him) teaching this for hardship: talk to Allah by His greatness and the distress is named to the One who holds all affairs.
When to recite it
In moments of distress, difficulty or fear.
